About the Surrounding Area: White Sands Missile Range is located in the Tularosa Basin of south-central New Mexico. The headquarters is 30 miles east of Las Cruces, New Mexico and 45 miles north of El Paso, Texas. The range boundaries extend almost 100 miles north to south by 40 miles east to west. At almost 3,200 square miles, the range is the largest military installation in the country. Southern New Mexico's climate is dry and sunny with mild winters and warm summers.

About the Position: This position is located at the US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Analysis Center (TRAC) - White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. TRAC mission is to provide relevant, credible analysis to inform decisions about the Army's most important and challenging issues. In support of this mission, TRAC personnel perform, monitor, supervise, review, & evaluate analyses in support of TRADOC and other Army agencies; provide evaluations, planning, data analyses, simulation production runs and support, and analytical documentation and briefing support to study leads and customers; develop and integrate joint combat scenarios into closed-form combat models; design, develop, modify, and maintain complex models, simulations, scenarios, and attendant databases; coordinate and execute verification and validation for these models; develop and manage TRADOC's brigade and below scenarios (BBS) for use in capability development to support joint, Army, TRADOC and interagency analytic efforts.
