White Sands Missile Range is known as the birthplace of America’s Missile and Space Activity and is located in the Tularosa Basin of south-central New Mexico at the base of the beautiful Organ Mountains. The Tularosa Basin is known for hot summers and mild winters. We have a wide variety of sporting activities; camping, fishing, boating, hiking, skiing, and hunting. Local wildlife includes oryx, deer, cougar, coyote, rattlesnake, tarantula, scorpion, and elk, turkey, bear, and wild boar in the mountain areas.

This position will be located at our Aquatics Center. The Aquatic Center offers an indoor 25-meter, eight lane pool plus a 24-foot diameter children's pool. The main pool depth is 3.5 feet at the shallow end and 12 feet at the deep end. The water temperature is kept at 80-82°, perfect for training and recreational swimming. There are 1 and 3 meter diving boards, a big screen TV, water basketball, inner tubes and water polo equipment. The center features two sun decks with lounge chairs and umbrella tables. Lifeguarding duties include all areas of ensuring swimmer safety and protection adhering to all safety and maintenance rules.
