The Seasonal Recruitment Operations Center is currently accepting applications to fill 3 full time and 2 part time temporary positions at Roosevelt-Vanderbilt National Historic Sites. Appointments made under this announcement are limited to 1039 hours (six months) in a service year and may be terminated at any time.  Appointments under this announcement are eligible for extension if workload and funding allow.  Individuals selected under this vacancy announcement are eligible for rehire in subsequent service years.  Anticipated Entry on Duty: April, 2014.

 

Special Note: Incumbent selected for part time employment will be working approximately 32 hours per week.  

AREA INFORMATION: Roosevelt-Vanderbilt National Historic Sites consist of the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt NHS, Eleanor Roosevelt NHS, and Vanderbilt Mansion NHS. All are located in the town of Hyde Park, New York. Hyde Park, NY is approximately 90 miles north of New York City and 60 miles south of Albany, New York. The yearly visitation of the three sites combined is around 600,000. Shopping Centers, medical facilities, restaurants, and rental properties are all in the Hyde Park Area. There is no government housing available. Housing cost is considered moderate to high.  A private vehicle is highly recommended to get yourself to and from your duty station.

This announcement may be used to fill additional positions if identical vacancies occur within 90 days of the issue date of the referral certificate.
