REQUIRES:  While preferred, no specific medical transport experience is necessary BUT must have a minimum of five years driving record (to demonstrate adherence to safety in motor vehicles and adherence to traffic laws and regulations) AND have positive and verifiable employment references. 18 years of age. Valid drivers license and no disqualifying events on driving record (disqualifying events include: license suspension and any moving violation in past three years; more than two violations in past three years; more that three accidents in the past three years; more that five violations or accidents of any kind in past five years; no serious violation in the past ten years) (drive company vehicles). First Aid and/or CPR Certifications preferred but not required. Moderate computer skills, familiarity with e-mail, and an active e-mail account. Must have or able to obtain a wired telephone line in the home (to connect employer-provided communication / imaging equipment). Must speak and read English well enough to fulfill duties (i.e., converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official questions, and be able to make legible entries on reports and records). Meet employer's dress and appearance standards (customer contact). Must be available to work evenings, weekends and some holidays. Pass pre-employment drug screen, DMV record check and criminal background check (will include finger printing).

<br>DUTIES: Non-emergency medical transportation throughout the Newport and coast areas. Drive company vehicle and assist with pick-up, transport and delivery of sick, injured, or convalescent persons. Push people in wheelchairs. Move and maneuver material and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds or more, when necessary. Other duties as assigned.

<br>HOURS: Part-time / on-call positions available. Hours will vary (20 to 40 hours per week), expect early morning hours, irregular shifts, and on-call weekends.

<br>NOTE: Employees use company vehicle and gas card, and are dispatched from local offices or remote locations.  The employer is located in Albany, and is looking for Newport area drivers.

<br>PAY: $8.80 per hour, working or waiting. Uniform shirt and pants provided by employer, when needed. Employer provides driver training, and covers tuition (but not the time spent attending) for most certifications, including First Aid, CPR, Patient Assist and Services training, and defensive driving.
