Greenville was founded in 1771 as "Martinsborough" after the Royal Governor Josiah Martin. In 1774 the town was moved to its present location on the south bank of the Tar River. In 1786, the name was changed to Greenesville in honor of General Nathanael Greene, the American Revolutionary War hero, an dlater shortened to Greenville. Greenville has a wide range of cultural events on and off the East Carolina University Campus. East Carolina University offers musical concert, theatrical and dance productions, travel films and lectures.
This is a full-time position available immediately. Work will be accomplished from Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 4:30 pm, weekends, off shift work and holidays as needed. This is considered the full performance level for nonsupervisory positions. An MT/CLS at this level develops, performs, evaluates, interprets, correlates, and validates the accuracy of laboratory procedures and results. Testing procedures are performed on a variety of biological specimens and/or environmental samples using manual or automated techniques, and require a broad exercise of independent judgment and responsibility with minimal technical supervision.
