Title: Medical Technologist Location: NV-Mesquite The Medical Technologist (General Supervisor) is responsible for day-to-day supervision or oversight of the Laboratoryapos;apos;s operations in the area which they are responsible. The Medical Technologist is responsible for the prompt and accurate performance of all laboratory tests to be performed in designated departments in the Laboratory. Demonstrates knowledge of quality control, quality improvement, preventive maintenance, and functional verification n all equipment in the Laboratory. Must be involved in the Proficiency Testing of the Laboratory. Must be involved in Performance Improvement for the Laboratory as well as the hospital. Must be able to perform and report tests, monitor quality control, and provide on-site supervision of testing processes as a daily function within his/her duties. All other duties as assigned. Education: * Bachelors in Medical Technology, or chemical, physical or biological sciences, and a minimum of three (3) years training/experience in high complexity testing, or Nevada State General Supervisor License. ASCP, AMT or equivalent registration. Experience: * Must have a minimum of three to five years clinical laboratory experience. * Exhibit a team approach. * Able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given. * Requires good interpersonal skills. * Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written. * Ability to function effectively in fast-paced environment with multiple demands/deadlines. * Position requires some overtime and ability to coordinate several activities simultaneously.Primary Locaiton: NV-Mesquite Organization: Mesa View Regional Hospital
