Title: PATIENT ACCOUNT REP - BUSINESS OFFICE
Location: TX-Tomball
The Patient Account Representative is responsible for the patient account once a final bill is prepared. The Patient Account Representative will maintain necessary contact with the patient and/or responsible insurance companies to complete payment of the account to ensure payment is received no later than 90 days from final bill.
Education:
* Must possess a high school diploma.
Experience:
* Knowledge of federal, state and local collection-related laws and payer-specific regulations required.
* Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines is required.
* Knowledge of general office procedures is required.
* A minimum of one year hospital collections experience is required.
* Knowledge of managed care and health insurance terminology and reimbursement methodologies required.
