About the Position:
ACADEMIC RANK AND SALARY WILL BE BASED ON EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE. This is a civilian faculty position at the U.S. Army War College (USAWC) as provided under Title 10 USC 4021. Initial appointment may be for up to four years, the first year being probationary. Appointments may be renewed. The student body consists of US military officers of all services in the ranks of lieutenant colonel and colonel, upper-level civilians from federal agencies, and foreign military officers.
Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania, is a US Army installation at the center of the Army and Department of Defense senior leadership educational programs. It supports a variety of USAWC missions, including those of the School of Strategic Landpower, Center for Strategic Leadership Development, Strategic Studies Institute and USAWC Press, Peacekeeping & Stability Operations Institute, and Army Heritage and Education Center. Although it is one of the oldest military installations in the nation, Carlisle Barracks boasts modern facilities and a vibrant workforce.
