The Seasonal Recruitment Operations Center is currently accepting applications to fill up to 12 temporary positions at Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site. Appointments made under this announcement are limited to 1039 hours (six months) in a service year and may be terminated at any time. Appointments under this announcement are eligible for rehire and/or extension (when initial appointment is less than 1039 hours) if workload and funding allow.  Anticipated Entry on Duty: May, 2014

Hopewell Furnace NHS is located in southeastern Pennsylvania, approximately 50 miles northwest of Philadelphia, 5 miles south of Birdsboro, a community of 5,000. Schools, doctors, grocery stores and other facilities are available. Major shopping and hospitals are available 12-15 miles away in Pottstown and Reading. There is no public transportation to the area. No government housing is available.

This announcement is being advertised under delegated examining procedures and is open to all U.S. citizens. 

This announcement may be used to fill additional positions if identical vacancies occur within 90 days of the issue date of the referral certificate.
