The Seasonal Recruitment Operations Center is currently accepting applications to fill up to 1 temporary positions at Valley Forge National Historic Park. Appointments made under this announcement are limited to 1039 hours (six months) in a service year and may be terminated at any time.  Appointments under this announcement are eligible for extension if workload and funding allow.  Individuals selected under this vacancy announcement are eligible for rehire in subsequent service years.  Anticipated Entry on Duty: May, 2014

AREA INFORMATION:  Located approximately 20 miles northwest of center city Philadelphia, Valley Forge is the site of the 1777-1778 winter encampment of General George Washington and the Continental Army. The park receives 1.2 million visitors each year and contains about 3,500 acres of forested rolling hills, tall grass meadows, wetlands, and rough lawns. Valley Forge is located in King of Prussia. King of Prussia is also home of the largest shopping mall of the east coast (the King of Prussia mall). The two-building conglomeration is also arguably America's largest shopping complex at one location. Valley Forge National Historic Park also contains over 28 miles of trails.

This announcement is being advertised under delegated examining procedures and is open to all U.S. citizens. 

 

This announcement may be used to fill additional positions if identical vacancies occur within 90 days of the issue date of the referral certificate.
