Plant Maintenance Mechanic (Ammonia/Refrigeration)

JOB SUMMARY:
Description:
Position Summary: Maintenance employees will be expected
to be punctual and able to work 40 hours per week plus
occasional weekends and to be on call on a rotational
basis. This position works directly with our production
and shipping departments to ensure the facility is
operating in an efficient and effective manner. Duties
will include: performing repairs on plant production
equipment and assisting with replacement or installation
of plant equipment as needed. The ideal and successful
candidate must have a consistent work history with
proven experience and demonstrated knowledge in the job
requirement areas.
Requirements:
* Candidates must be minimum of 21 years old and have
the ability to read and write English
* 2-3 years experience in plant maintenance.
* Ability to trouble shoot automated packaging
equipment.
* Strong industrial electrical background in addition
to mechanical skills.
* Experience with computerized or automated controls
and ability to read electrical schematics a plus.
* Must have 1 to 3 years experience with ammonia
refrigeration.
* Ability to:
* Stand for up to ten hours per day,
* Lift 40-55 pounds from 28 inches to a height of
7 feet
* Push/pull 20-75 pounds for up to 20 feet
consistently
* Detail-oriented, self-motivated and ability to
multi-task and thrive in a busy, fast-paced
environment.
* Ability to work independently, productively and
accurately with minimal supervision.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to
relate to a diverse workforce and vendor population.
* Successful completion of drug screen and background
check.
