JOB SUMMARY:
This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for the position.
Under the direction of the Coordinator of Records and Reporting, the Clerk will process transcripts, degree audits, graduation applications and drops/withdrawals. The Clerk will also assist with coverage of the front counter, end of semester processing, registration and new student orientation, graduation and application entry, and perform other duties as assigned. Adhere to the Policies and Procedures Manual.
High school /GED required, some college preferred. One to two yrs clerical experience with knowledge of basic clerical duties and responsibilities, and computer proficiency required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a diverse group of student and faculty. Demonstrate superior customer service. Understand how to work successfully as a team within all levels of the organization and how to contribute to the mission of the office. Must maintain a neat appearance. Must be able to understand and anticipate the needs of the students. Must be punctual and dependable. Excellent listening and verbal communication skills are required.
