This position is located in the Naval Systems Engineering Directorate (NAVSEA 05) Undersea Warfare Systems (USW) Engineering Technical Domain (05N) in the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), located at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), Newport, RI. This position serves as single National-level senior expert on Sonar Systems for Surface Ships including surface ship equipment for active and passive detection, classification, and localization of current and projected submarine, torpedo, and mine threats; surface ship hull, towed and autonomous ,sonar systems for warships and Surveillance Towed Array Sensor System (SURTASS); and special surface ship towed environmental sensors.
