Job description
IBM is seeking top talent to join our Business Analytics presales team in the Great West Region, primarily focused on Cognos Performance Management (PM) solution sales. As part of our elite Business Analytics team, you will leverage business process knowledge and provide technical support to help move sales opportunities to closure. Responsibilities may include demos, proof of concept, creating responses to request for information/proposals, participation in marketing events, provide skills transfer, develop and deliver intellectual capital and provide input in product and sales strategy. Candidates can reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Colorado, New Mexico or Nevada

Successful PM Solution Specialist candidates should have experience in a Finance environment working with Budgeting and Planning systems such as IBM Cognos TM1 (preferred), IBM Cognos Planning, Hyperion Planning, SAP BPC, Clarity etc. They should have a solid understanding of competitive technologies and their place in the market. They should be able to present to audiences of all levels within a business with great written and oral communication skills. They should also have knowledge of the Budgeting and Planning space, understand the issues/pains that finance users experience with legacy budgeting and planning solutions such as Excel and be able to articulate a corresponding solution based on IBM software. Having some Finance related IT project experience, or equivalent will also be helpful.

Required
* Basic knowledge in Finance/Accounting
* Basic knowledge in TM1 or other Budgeting and Planning Systems
* Readiness to travel 50% travel annually
* English: Fluent

Preferred
* Bachelor''s Degree in Accounting/Finance
* At least 6 months experience in Finance/Accounting
* At least 2 years experience in Financial Performance Management tools
* At least 2 years experience in Presales, Sales Engineering or Consulting
* At least 2 years experience in Technical knowledge of Cognos FPM Tools and related products.
