We are a nationally recognized leader in the food technology industry. Our company was founded and run by industry professionals devoted and passionate about food science and testing. We have an immediate need for a Lab Scientist for our TX-based headquarters.

Do you have your PhD in Microbiology or Food Science/ Technology with 3+ years of food science or food technology experience as a Lab Scientist?

What you will be doing:

- Support all analytical laboratory processes including measurements, research, training, and scientific processes
- Oversee the application of approved techniques and methodologies used in analysis of food products as they relate to accreditation, certification, and proficiency testing
- Interpret research methods for different food industry matrixes to develop projects for customers and internal methods
- Interpret data and present findings with documentation, references, and supporting material
- Supervise training of lab personnel

What you need for this position:

- PhD in Microbiology or Food Technology
- 3+ years of analytical laboratory experience, food-testing lab experience is a plus!
- Working knowledge of aseptic sampling technique, rapid and traditional microbiological methods
- Preliminary experience with GMP , OSHA guidelines, FDA, BAM, APHA, and compendium methods
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, Access and other databases
