JOB SUMMARY:
1. Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering. <br>2. Experience with Glovia, AutoCAD, Windchill, Pro / E or Creo, Pro / Program preferred.<br>3. Knowledge of general drafting practices required.<br>4. General computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge required.<br>5. Knowledge of Daktronics’ products is preferred. <br>6. Experience with Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is preferred.<br>7. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Must possess strong verbal and excellent written communication skills along with strong technical writing skills.<br>8. Must possess organizational, planning, and creative problem solving skills and be detail and documentation oriented. <br>9. Dedication and desire for quality performance along with demonstrated ability to successfully increase responsibility. <br>10. Willing and able to travel via air and ground transportation. Have a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Motor vehicle records will be checked. <br>11. Able to work on job sites and assist with installations. This may include climbing ladders, working at various heights, carrying equipment <br>(50 pounds or more) and working outdoors. <br>12. Background check may be conducted.<br>13. Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.<br>14. We do not sponsor immigration visas for this position.<br>1. Support of product development / enhancements through: <br>1.1. Close technology gaps and research stretch goals <br>1.2. Concept generation <br>1.3. Detailed design <br>1.4. Develop test plans <br>1.5. Testing and detailed data analysis<br>1.6. Prototyping <br>1.7. Production support <br>1.8. Knowledge building<br>1.9. Coordinate with manufacturing engineering<br>1.10. Use of Glovia and Engineering Change<br>2. Work effectively as a team member; work with little supervision; help where and when needed; make and implement suggestions for product and process improvement; communicate effectively with team members. <br>3. Documentation of concepts, prototypes, testing, and design in the form of design guidelines, trade off/limit curves, engineering specs, and user manuals. <br>4. Build strong relationships with key business partners and vendors.<br>5. Methodical problem solving in a variety of circumstances.<br>6. Become knowledgeable of company policies and procedures.<br>7. Use good judgment in difficult situations and make good decisions. <br>8. Incorporate lean processes in daily work activities<br>9. Consistently complete work in a timely manner. <br>10. Regularly and reliably work the scheduled shift. <br>11. Delegate to and coordinate work with coworkers and students. <br>12. Perform other duties as assigned and needed to meet customer expectations. <br>13. Personal growth and continued increase in contribution.
