JOB SUMMARY:
Position located in Brookings, South Dakota. Candidates must be enrolled and registered as a fulltime student. Ideal candidate should be available to work approximately 15 - 20 hours / week during the academic year and at least 20 hours / week during the summer.<br>1. The ideal candidate must be a fulltime student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Agricultural Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology and in their sophomore, junior or senior year of school. Only strong performers in undergraduate coursework will be considered. <br>2. Class graduate or work experience with AutoCAD and/or Creo required.<br>3. Knowledge of general drafting practices required.<br>4. Good communication skills.<br>5. Computer skills and knowledge essential.<br>6. Knowledge of Daktronics products preferred. Daktronics manufacturing experience a plus.<br>7. Ability to travel by both air and ground transportation. Good Driving Record. Motor Vehicle record will be checked.<br>8. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. <br>9. Background check may be conducted.<br>10. Students must maintain an acceptable grade point average.<br>11. We do not sponsor immigration visas for his position.<br>1. Produce accurate design drawings and documentation for projects on AutoCAD and/or Creo. Assist Engineers with design, drafting, bill of materials, routing documentation.<br>2. Assist in documenting and checking components in AutoCAD and/or Creo.<br>3. Develop concepts and ideas for designs on AutoCAD and/or Creo.<br>4. Build and test prototypes.<br>5. Prepare detailed blueprints of subassemblies and parts.<br>6. Write operation sequences and bill of materials (BOM).<br>7. Help coordinate the manufacture of systems on project basis.<br>8. Assist with installations as required.<br>9. Work with little supervision, organize workload efficiently, communicate effectively with internal and external customers, and make decisions concerning designs when required.<br>10. Perform other duties as required to support the mechanical engineers.<br>11. Ability to regularly and reliably work scheduled hours.
