JOB SUMMARY:
Full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the area of Computer Science / Cyber Security for Fall 2014. Qualifications include an earned doctorate or appropriate terminal degree in computer science or closely related field, demonstrated excellence as a classroom instructor, a strong record of scholarly activity, and experience teaching with technology. Primary teaching assignments include upper level courses in cyber security and computer science (senior undergraduate, master's courses, and doctoral courses) specific to the areas of malware analysis and exploitation development at the doctoral level. A demonstrated history of providing hands-on learning, experience supervising undergraduate and graduate research projects and willingness to participate in University, College, and program service projects is expected. <br>Cyber Operations program is one of eight in the nation and the only dedicated undergraduate degree designated by the National Security Agency (NSA). Additional focus is needed to expand the level of rigorous academic programming into the masters and doctoral programs of cyber security. The College of Business and Information Systems offers undergraduate programs in computer science and related majors/minors in security, networking, game design, and information systems as well as degrees in accounting, finance, health information management, management, marketing, and business technology. The college offers master's degree programs in applied computer science, information systems, information assurance, health informatics, an MBA and a doctoral program in information systems. Current faculty expertise includes data mining, graphics, programming languages, networking, security, game design, and database systems. Recent curriculum changes have expanded faculty need in mobile and web development areas.
