JOB SUMMARY:

1. Maintain accounting records to include financial reporting on Grains, payroll, team member expenses or receipts, accounts payables and accounts receivables.<br>2. Perform accounts payable functions to include verification, preparation and entry of invoices into the accounting software and completion of the payment process.<br>3. Perform grains payable functions to include applying tickets, creating settlements, processing transactions and completion of the payment process.<br>4. Perform accounts receivable functions to include verification and entry of sales invoices into the accounting software as well as verifying and applying payments received.<br>5. Assist the Controller by pulling and analyzing documents for credit references to vendors.<br>6. Assist the Controller as requested with all reporting requirements.<br>7. Interface with external auditors as requested to provide information.<br>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS / COMPETENCIES <br>Associate’s degree in Accounting preferred or similiar experience<br>Experience with bookkeeping procedures such as accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll processing required. Experience with grains accounting systems and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains preferred. Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications is required. <br>Excellent organizational skills, communications skills, the ability to multi-task and most importantly, the ability to work well in a team.<br>**This is a temporary position, the job site location can be Sioux Falls or Scotland (with a few days of transactional training in Mitchell, Chancellor and Scotland bio refineries). <br>POET is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
