JOB SUMMARY:
1. Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.<br>2. Five to ten years of Banking or Related Compliance experience.<br>3. Experience in mortgage regulations and fair lending a plus.<br>4. Must be detail oriented.<br>5. Must possess initiative and be a self-starter.<br>6. Excellent written, verbal / nonverbal, and interpersonal skills.<br>7. Proven investigative skills.<br>This position will be responsible for overseeing compliance with federal and state laws and regulations governing various areas within Great Western Bank. This position will develop, administer, and monitor internal programs to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Position provides interpretation and consultation to managers and employees regarding compliance and audit functions.<br>Essential Functions:<br>1. Develop and administer bank programs to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations; and proactively consults with employees regarding changes in regulations affecting their job.<br>2. Monitor various areas of compliance within Great Western Bank. This may include but is not limited to the Truth in Lending Act; Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA); Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA); Expedited Funds Availability Act; Electronic Funds Transfer Act; Truth in Savings Act; Unfair, Deceptive or abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP); Equal Credit Opportunity Act; and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).<br>3. Analyze new regulations and changes to existing regulations as set forth by Federal and State authorities. Develop and implement bank policy and procedures based on regulatory changes.<br>4. Distribute information on changes to associates and coordinate implementation of changes to policy or procedure to assure ongoing compliance with changing regulatory requirements. Develop and assist with training of bank employees regarding the implementation of new policies and procedures.<br>5. Report observations and recommendations to appropriate management based on the results of regularly scheduled reviews, non-scheduled reviews, and at any time when issues need to be addressed by management.<br>6. Provide Compliance information to bank management and be a compliance resource for management throughout the bank.<br>7. Respond to and resolve customer service requests according to Great Western policies in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner at all times.<br>8. Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
