JOB SUMMARY:

Successfully operate, monitor, and repair broadcast operation systems.
<br>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
<br>* Determine cause of broadcast system failures and coordinate repair in a timely manner.
<br>* Monitor and maintain the performance of all broadcasting systems to ensure their continuous operation.
<br>* Set up, operate and maintain professional video equipment.
<br>* Encode, monitor and upload video files.
<br>* Troubleshoot and repair all cable and broadcast systems in the control room and at locations, over the phone, or from a remote computer.
<br>* Understand cable, broadcast and advertising insertion system performance specifications, perform tests, and repair equipment with minimal supervision.
<br>* Understand the reception and broadcast of all programming types including satellite, broadcast, and local origination.
<br>* Knowledge of automation, traffic and billing systems and their relation to the broadcast and cable systems.
<br>* Ability to manipulate connectors, fasteners and wire, and use hand tools and customary CATV power tools.
<br>EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
<br>* High school diploma or GED required. Some college or vocational training preferred.
<br>* Minimum two years experience in cable or broadcast television preferred.
<br>* Knowledge of the National Electrical Codes.
<br>* Strong computer skills in NT / 95 / 98 / 2000 / XP. Plus background in SQL.
<br>* Know and understand all NTSC video / audio standards.
