<br>Summary:Applies the principles of accounting in completing more challenging reconciliations of prepaid card deposit accounts within required timeframes. Identifies, researches, and resolves identified account discrepancies in adherence to department and accounting standards and deadlines.
<br>
<br>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<br>
<br>* Responsible for reconciliation of more challenging prepaid card deposit accounts within required timeframes, as assigned.
<br>* Identify account discrepancies and work with the appropriate internal business areas, and/or external business partners, to resolve them.
<br>* Escalate aged reconciling issues to direct supervisor
<br>* Assist with mentoring and training of Accountants in the Reconciliation Department
<br>* Assist Accountant II&amp;rsquo;s in the Reconciliation Department with more complex reconciliations
<br>* Cross-train for various reconciliation responsibilities to provide for adequate back-up during vacations and other employee absences.
<br>* Create and maintain procedures for assigned responsibilities.
<br>* Assist with internal and external audit requests, as needed.
<br>* Additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.
<br>Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

<br>Education and/or Experience:Bachelor&amp;rsquo;s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from four-year college or university and at least one to two years of experience in the banking and/or card services industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
<br>

<br>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

<br>Reasoning Ability: Ability to analyze account transactions. Must have the ability to solve more complex problems and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

<br>Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should be prepared to perform significant portions of their work in a computer based work environment. A solid understanding of the following is necessary :
