JOB SUMMARY:

Monday - Friday 6:15 am - 2:45 pm with rotating weekends and holidays. Performs a variety of duties concerning the sanitation and safety of the NFS department in accordance with established food service standards and practices. Some duties include but not limited to: transporting food carts to patient units, operating a dish washing machine, loading and unloading dish washing machines, general cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, cleaning of hoods, removing trash, removing recyclables, and baling cardboard.<br>Strength to push loaded food carts on carpeting; balance to use ladder to clean exhaust hood; Listening skills to effectively communicate with co-workers; Ability to establish effective working relationships with co-workers; Ability to maintain safety and cleanliness of food equipment. May need to operate equipment: food carts, dish machines, cart lift, cart return, trash compactor, can crusher, portable sprayer, elevators and card board baler.<br>When students are providing patient care, treatment, and/or services as a part of their training, any / all employees may be asked to supervise the students.<br>Required Skills<br>8th Grade completion; On-the-job training provided; No previous experience necessary.
