JOB SUMMARY:

Requisition # 13-2400 The Building Maintenance Technician will be responsible to perform mostly general, routine maintenance tasks of moderate scope within a defined area related to the upkeep of the facility’s structure, equipment and grounds, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Performs skilled trades work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Works with manufacturing in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in production processes. Makes periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary. May perform various duties such as: furniture moves, simple electrical projects, spot painting, cleaning, lighting, audio-visual set ups, internal office deliveries. Works from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches. Operates site equipment as needed including hand and power tools. <br>Requirements: <br>The employee is frequently required to talk and hear.    <br>Frequent to constant use of their hands and fingers, to handle or feel, and to manipulate in a variety of different body positions or postures.    Frequent to constant holding, grabbing, grasping, pinching, turning or otherwise working with hands and fingers ranging from dexterous to forceful in nature.  Frequent to constant lifting or exertion of force of up to 35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds effort and infrequent heavy exertion in excess of 50 pounds force.   The employee is constantly or frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, frequently to climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, ability to judge dimensions and spatial relationships.
