JOB SUMMARY:
Title: Account Examination Specialist 1 <br>Requisition Number: 14-0002 <br>Post Date: 1/6/2014 <br>City: Aberdeen, SD <br>Description:<br>Great Lakes' corporate commitment is to do the right thing for its borrowers, schools and partners. It's the way we serve and support students and families - today and everyday - to help them succeed through higher education.<br>We are looking for an individual to work in our Aberdeen Claims Examination Department. <br>Responsibilities include:<br>Desk auditing Requests for Claim payments, loan forgiveness or loan discharge documentation. The audit of each claim involves verification of compliance with federal regulations. <br>Performing related duties as assigned, including reviewing legal documents, updating Excel spreadsheets, and providing back-up for all clerical functions. <br>To succeed, knowledge equivalent to the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required with post-secondary education in a business related field preferred. Minimum of two years of related work experience that demonstrates skill in interpreting federal or state regulations and Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel, analyzing financial records or documents, and strong communication skills is preferred.<br>The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with some limited flexibility.
