JOB SUMMARY:

This position can either be a full time permanent tax associate position or a spring intern position with the opportunity for a full time permanent position later if both parties so wish.<br>Responsibilities<br>•Work with the tax team to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed – including tax planning, client interaction, and performing special tax projects.<br>•Work with our team to process client payrolls.<br>•Work with our team to process monthly financial reports for clients.<br>•Work with our team to process excise and sales tax monthly and state unemployment insurance and form 941 quarterly for clients.<br>•Stay aware of general business trends or issues, in order to professionally represent and apply this knowledge to the client’s solutions, potentially developing new or additional business for the firm.<br>•Attend professional development and training seminars on a regular basis.<br>•Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.<br>Qualifications<br>•Working towards or possess a bachelor’s or associates degree in accounting<br>•Have the ability to obtain a Certified Public Account (CPA) license<br>•Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and work ethic<br>•Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills<br>•Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft word and excel<br>•Demonstrate strong ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines<br>•Demonstrate flexibility to work additional hours as needed, travel to client locations ad have access to transportation when necessary<br>Pay: DOEQ<br>The full time permanent position also comes with a benefit package including health insurance, simple IRA, paid vacation and holidays.
