JOB SUMMARY:
Provide psychiatric evaluation and medication prescription and monitoring under the supervision of the Medical Director. Administer prescription and non-prescription medication. Provide symptom assessment and management in relation to side effects/reaction to medications. Provide services in accordance with the Psychiatric Assessment and individual Case Service Plan. Provide immediate and appropriate level of response/ intervention via telephone or face-to-face in crisis situations. Complete Psychiatric Assessments, Case Service Plans, Progress Notes and other documentation as outlined in company SOP. Thorough knowledge of mental illness, DSM-IV, psychiatric medications, medical protocols as it relates to mental illness and community resources. Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or equivalent training and experience which qualifies for Certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Travel is required between Rapid City, Spearfish, and Hot Springs offices.
