<br>This position serves as a CAT Scan Technologist and is responsible for performing Ct studies at
<br>the Pine Ridge Hospital on a mobile CT unit.
<br>
<br>MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
<br>Performs a variety of computerized tomography examinations according to physician instructions.
<br>Receives and reviews requests from physicians and other health care providers for examinations of
<br>patients. Schedules patients for examinations. Determines the condition(s) at issue and the procedures
<br>and equipment necessary to best meet the needs of the individual case. Evaluates the nature of critical
<br>and emergency procedures and rearranges patient priorities to accommodate them. Confers with
<br>radiologists andlor higher graded tech. to establish requirements of nonstandard examinations or for cases
<br>outside of incumbent's expertise, and determines technical factors, positioning, number and thickness of
<br>scans, etc., to satisfy requirements. Assists the radiologist in the performance of needle localizations and
<br>biopsies.
<br>WORK SCHEDULE:
<br>Primary tour of duty will be various hour shifts Monday thru Sunday to include Holidays. There
<br>will be no Holiday pay or shift differential.
<br>

<br>QUALIFICATIONS:
<br>Individual must be ARRT certified and meet the continuing education requirement set by the
<br>ARRT. Must have at least one year of experience in performing CT examinations
