We are seeking talented, high performing individuals to serve as Seasonal Transportation Specialist. This position is located in our Coppell, TX office. Seasonal Transportation Specialists are part of the Transportation team serving our 24x7 bottling operations. This role is responsible for ensuring successful movement of orders from the plants to customers, coordinating information regarding pickup and delivery details and addressing concerns from Customer Service. The goal is to manage orders and take every measure possible to ensure that each order is delivered in full and in good condition on the date requested while providing the best delivery service at the least cost possible.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Serving as a liaison to third party carriers to schedule loads, deliveries and monitor service levels.
* Work with internal and third party warehouse teams to make sure orders are being shipped to deliver to the customer on time.
* Work with customer service and the third party carrier base at all levels to meet and coordinate customer requests.
* Coordinate the sourcing of orders internally & externally to and from the region to meet customer demands and optimize line loading opportunities.
* Coordinate with customers, Customer Service, Planning and the Warehouse teams to ensure trucks are picking up at the right locations.
* Run, review and update reports in SAP and i2 to effectively manage flow of orders and customer issues
* Build and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with internal and external business partners and provide accurate and timely responses to inquiries
* Ensure compliance with all related internal and external compliance, safety and quality regulations
Key qualifications include:
* HS Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor''s degree in Supply Chain or Business preferred
* Three or more years of experience within a fast-paced Logistics or Supply Chain environment preferred
* Past experience with load planning, logistics, dispatching or operations
* Prior experience in the food & beverage industry and/or servicing large customer accounts desired
* Proficient with computers and windows based software required, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Experience with SAP and i2 preferred
* Ability to handle multiple people and tasks in a fast paced environment
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational and teamwork skills
* Ability to work independently and in group environment
* Customer focused attitude in a dynamic environment
Prerequisites:
* Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
* Must be willing to accept seasonal/temporary assignment
* Flexibility in hours worked, including nights, after hours, weekends and holidays
* Must be able to successfully complete a post-offer pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
