Skilled Maintenance Worker

JOB SUMMARY:
Provide routine maintenance/repair of equipment such as air conditioners, heaters, water treatment, water heating, boiler, and chiller equipment. Must be able to dismantle equipment and install working parts to repair equipment. Will make structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings, patches or replaces plaster/ plasterboard, paints walls and ceilings and trims, cuts and lays flooring (linoleum, tile, carpet, etc.). General plumbing that includes connecting water supplies and drainage pipelines, clearing clogged drains and replacing plumbing fixtures.
Maintain and repair resident equipment such as beds, wheelchairs, and electric wheelchairs.
Participate in emergency on-call duty on a rotating basis, for making emergency and safety repairs, as directed by the Director of Environmental Services or approved designated person.
Prefer candidates with strong HVAC knowledge.
