The Beaufort CBOCs are located within the Beaufort Naval Hospital and provide care to 3700 Veterans. The clinics comprise of 4 Primary Care Teams organized according to the Patient Centered Medical Home model of the VA and operate within the Primary Care Service Line located at the Charleston VAMC. In cooperation with the Naval Hospital, the clinic offers radiology, mental health, dietary, podiatry, and social work support services. Additional full range of specialty care services is available at the RHJ VAMC.
The Primary Care Physician position offers a Monday-Friday outpatient clinic setting with the option of work assignment for extended clinic hours and/or weekend clinics according to VHA Directive 2013-001. The Physician will function as the leader of a Patient Aligned Care Team. The successful candidate will have a high level of medical knowledge and possess all the qualities for providing comprehensive and compassionate primary care services for those who served. The position calls for excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and offers input into projects pertaining to the development of the clinic. It is designed for a long-term and full-time professional relationship with the Primary Care Service Line at the Charleston VAMC.
