SR. TECHNICIAN (ENGINE MAINTENANCE)

JOB SUMMARY:
Perform engine installations, repairs and troubleshooting; make modifications to engines and various other equipment used for testing; perform maintenance tasks related to facility operations, equipment and facilities; work on several projects at one time, vehicles light duty pickup trucks, golf carts, small and large forklifts; accurately record data and log daily activities. Must pass SwRI Mechanical Assessment test. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 8-10 years of vehicle and small engine maintenance and repair experience with
5 years related experience in diagnostics and repair of motor vehicles or automotive technical education. Must be ASE certified. Must have knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines diagnostics and repair, plumbing, instrumentation and wiring; must have experience in solving problems and repair with older vehicles; must have computer skills; must be able to safely use power and hand tools in performing maintenance; must be able to communicate well with others; must be dependable, self-motivated and able to work alone or with a group; must
be able to work overtime during the week and weekends; must be able to work safely in potentially hazardous environments; must be able to lift 50 lbs., unassisted; must be able to work with both hands to manipulate various
mechanical knobs, switches and levers; must be able to read and write English and follow both written and verbal instructions; must possess good communication skills; must possess own set of tools; must have welding,
fabricating and some machining skills. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
