JOB SUMMARY:
Supervisor General Maintenance - 087612
Primary Purpose:
Under general direction, maintains control of all plant maintenance functions including equipment, facilities, and stockbase support. Provides analysis, counsel, advice and recommendations for maintenance cost effectiveness.
Primary Duties:
Establishes and maintains effective maintenance procedures, including planning, scheduling, material support and analysis of cost and performance. Regularly reviews maintenance methods, manpower utilization, materials and equipment for potential improvements and cost savings.
Directs preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment and facility failures.
Develops and assures implementation of a sound maintenance skills training program and/or apprenticeship program as appropriate.
Provides technical support and staff coordination of maintenance related items. Coordinates all outside maintenance and construction activities.
Reviews proposals for new equipment, tools and facilities and plans for installation. Assists in preparation, justification and review of appropriation requests, layout and equipment changes.
Establishes standard procedures for operation of all utility facilities and maintains adequate operating records.
Assists in compliance to pertinent OSHA and EPA regulations.
Directs stockbase and maintenance purchasing operations.
Overtime is required to meet internal and external customer requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:
Bachelors in Engineering (Experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing setting.
Strong PLC experience to include troubleshooting and familiarity with programming
Minimum 1 year supervising others.
