This position serves as the Assistant District Fire Management/Prevention Officer. Primary responsibilities involve assisting in the planning and execution of the fire prevention, suppression, and education programs on a large, highly complex land area. Supervises suppression actions both on and off Forest lands.

This is a continuously open vacancy announcement for one or more locations throughout the Forest Service. The number and location of positions to be filled will be dependent upon individual unit needs.  Positions may be filled as career ladders or could be filled at the full performance level dependent upon the individual unit's needs.
