This position serves as the Superintendent of an Interagency Hotshot Crew. The primary responsibility of the incumbent is the leadership of an effective fire suppression resource.

These are permanent positions with varying tours of duty and may include weekend work. Some positions may have irregular and protracted hours of work. Tours of duty include full-time or less than full-time (guaranteed minimum 6 months/13 pay periods of full-time employment). If on a seasonal schedule, you will be placed in a non-pay status for the rest of the season.

Positions may be filled as career ladders or could be filled at the full performance level dependent upon the individual unit's needs. KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Males born after 12/31/59 must be registered with the Selective Service.
  • Minimum of 90 days of wildland firefighting experience is required.
  • Must meet Maximum Entry Age (MEA) requirements.
  • Must meet IFPM qualifications.
  • Primary firefighter retirement covered position.
  • Must possess and maintain a Valid Driver’s License.
  • Subject to negative drug test prior to entrance on duty if CDL required.
  • US Citizenship required.
