JOB SUMMARY:

FSIS will soon end the PHHRS Demonstration Project and will convert to the General Schedule System (GS).  Any PHHRS position effective after the conversion will be subject to GS rules and regulations to include salary determination.  The AP-3 position is equivalent to the GS grade 11 and the AP-4 position is equivalent to the GS grade 12. 

The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is the public health agency in the U.S. Department of Agriculture responsible for ensuring that the nation's commercial supply of meat, poultry, and egg products is safe, wholesome and correctly labeled and packaged.
