This is a Status Vacancy announcement open only to NRCS employees within the state of Tennessee, CTAP.

As a District Conservationist you will work in Blountville, Tennessee on selected programs with the Sullivan County SCD in the development of a comprehensive natural resources conservation program.  You will perform professional duties to achieve an integrated system of sound land use and conservation treatment in harmony with the capability and needs of the land and landowner. The incumbent is the NRCS representative for the field office, acts as the Designated Conservationist for Farm Bill Programs and performs all phases of conservation planning.

Positive Education Required

Operators License for Motor Vehicle Operation

Must be a certified conservation planner.

Must meet time-in-grade requirement by Closing Date.
