The Dallas Recruiting Battalion, located in Irving, TX, is in the 5th recruiting brigade of the U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC). It conducts recruiting operations within its assigned area of responsibility to meet the needs of the U.S. Army while maintaining a positive working environment. USARECs mission is to provide strength of the Army by recruiting highly motivated, high-quality men and women who will complete their tours of duty and make a contribution to the Nations defense. The USAREC headquarters, located at Fort Knox, KY, provides the command, control and staff support to the recruiting force. More than 400 officers, enlisted members and civilian employees work in diverse areas such as personnel, administration, resource management, safety, market research and analysis, public relations and recruiting operations.
