TEXAS AIR NATIONAL GUARD

 

EXCEPTED TECHNICIAN VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

 

This position is located in the 149th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Kelly AFB, San Antonio, TX.  The purpose of this position is to perform preliminary planning, long term scheduling, and analysis, for the utilization and maintenance of a variety of general and special purpose vehicles and equipment (i.e., special purpose vehicles include fire trucks, K loaders, de-icing trucks, large snow blowers).  In addition serves as the Base Fleet Manager.

• All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel of the Texas Air National Guard.

Appointment Factors: This is a Permanent Excepted Position open to Enlisted members ranks E-5 (SSgt) Not To Exceed E-7 (MSgt).  This is a Bargaining Unit position.
 
Remarks:  Canidates must have a valid state driver’s license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.

The applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
