Job Description

The Traffic Assistant is responsible for the Markets networks copy, assigning copy to schedule and affidavits for all stations. Networks include but are not limited to Westwood One network for the Dallas Market. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Coordinating and preparing the network copy, assigning copy to schedules and affidavits for all stations.Entry of orders into the IBS system . Backup for scheduling of commercial announcements for stations as necessary. Reconciliation of logs.Print, distribute, collate & file station contracts Assist the preparation of continuity for stations as necessary. Cover for the traffic department vacation schedule. Additional responsibility to include special reporting on a periodic basis.



CBS Radio Dallas is EOE.

Required Skills/Experience Basic knowledge of computers. A basic understanding of programming and advertising content. Must be detailed oriented, organized and with strong customer focus.Must be able to work well under pressure with accuracy and meet daily deadlines. Verbal and written communication skills are important to effectively communicate with people inside and outside the department.

Sales Management and Account Executives are partners in the scheduling process with the client base. Essential clear and concise communications skills are required in maintaining relationships internal and external to the company.


Preferred Skills/Experience College graduate preferred.

0 - 5+ years of experience as a Traffic Assistant is preferred.

Experience with Excel, Word and Traffic scheduling is a plus.

Experience with Media & Entertainment business is a plus.

Experience with IBS and AndoMedia is a plus.
