<br>The Traffic Office Specialist is responsible for creating, monitoring, and completing inbound / outbound shipments in the Schneider Logistics Operations System. This individual is also accountable to ensure that inbound / outbound shipment service improvements are made to exceed the expectations of the customer. This role is a critical foundation of the Schneider Logistics account operations team and is one in which strong communication, stress tolerance, and organizational skills are key.

<br>Detailed Description
<br>
<br>
<br>* Responsible for tracking, tracing, and expediting lost moves.
<br>* Create, monitor, and complete shipments in SUMIT. Accountable to schedule time specific deliveries with inbound carriers, as well as, scheduling backhaul freight movements. Monitor and ensure all outbound shipments are made meeting all performance criteria.
<br>* Prepare manifests for Cape Cod Express (Break Bulk, unique NY requirement, however other PDCs will have similar work) - Outbound
<br>* Assemble the driver's paperwork packet.
<br>* Point of contact for DDS provider.
<br>* Coordinate all shipping needs for primary inbound / outbound carriers.
<br>* Handle the non-parcel orders. Accountable for preparing all necessary paperwork and documentation.
<br>* Create necessary reports at the request from Schneider Logistics or the customer.
<br>* Coordinate with railroad to move empty rail equipment.
<br>* Point of contact for claims to resolve any issues dealing with inbound / outbound material claims.
<br>* Resolve all transportation / shipping issues promptly. Responding to customer calls to ensure critical success factors are achieved.
<br>* Act as a positive role model for team members by providing them support and assistance as needed.
<br>* Perform other duties as assigned.

<br>Job Requirements
<br>
<br>
<br>* Two to five years of work experience.
<br>* Post high school education and /or one year customer service experience required.
<br>* Knowledge of logistics industry preferred.
<br>* Ability to work in a non-structured environment.
<br>* Strong communication and persuasiveness skills. Ability to build positive working relationships.
<br>* Ability to use PC efficiently.
<br>* Proven analytical ability.
<br>* 1:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
<br>* Ability to make decisions and take appropriate action on behalf of the customer.
<br>* Ability to work as part of a team and provide assistance when necessary.
<br>* Demonstrate initiative, motivation, and tolerance for stress.
