Job Description

ENTER JOB DESCRIPTION
Drives a company truck or other vehicle to shuttle product, components and empty cases between production facilities and branches/terminals, meeting places for truck-to-truck transfer or even Distribution Centers. The Transport Driver will drive Straight and Tractor Trailer trucks of various sizes.


· Verify shipment accuracy and assure saleable condition of product.
· Transact proper documentation in computerized hand-held device or paper.
· Load/unload trucks.
· Resolve discrepancies and communicate major issues to Supervisor.
· Stock and/or rotate product in warehouse.
* Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
* Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
* Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
* The employee will be required to use all personal protective equipment provided by the company in compliance with OSHA regulations.
* Learn and adhere to safety and security policies and procedures.
* Follow all sanitation and quality policies and procedures, and report any deficiencies.
* Performs other duties as assigned.



Job Requirements

ENTER JOB REQUIREMENTS

· High School Diploma or GED preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or, equivalent combination of education and experience
· Must possess and maintain CDL-A with at least an Air Brake endorsement. Doubles may also be required.
· Experience within food and beverage handling preferred.
· Must be able to drive, sit, operate/inspect vehicle, stand, walk, kneel, lift and bend required for the entire shift. Able to balance and pull product, climb in and out of truck. Must be able tolift and/or move up to six cases on hand truck. (cases weigh 20 to 55 lbs.).Temperature range includes outdoors, indoors and cargo areas from 34°-40° degrees Fahrenheit.
* Must operate hand-held and truck-mounted computer and refrigeration equipment.
· Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environment with moderate noise, sometimes slippery floors.
· Overtime and working on holidays is often required.
* Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
· Must be able to pass all medical exams, drug and background checks (including criminal).
· Must have a clean driving record.
