Description:Under the direct supervision of the lead, this position will be responsible for transporting personnel (patients, staff, etc.) and materials (medical equipment, supplies, etc.) to all areas within the JPS Health Network.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Tasks include:
-Adheres to the Network Policy and Procedures and related standards of work behavior.
-Assists in maintaining adequate availability of equipment and supplies. Notifies supervisors if inventories get low.
-In addition to the essential job elements and duties listed here, other duties may be assigned or assumed which are within the scope of the employee's skill, expertise, and licensure or certification.
-Assists with patient are in a way that minimizes the risk of transfer of infection, accidental contamination, and protects the patient from harm or injury.
-Transports patients (via wheelchair, gurney or bed) as directed.
-Participates in the PI process.
The following knowledges are required:
-Customer and Personal Service: knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
-English language: knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
-Public Safety and Security: knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
Qualifications:High school education or equivalent (GED) is required. Basic Healthcare CPR certification through the American Heart Association required.
