JOB SUMMARY:
Transportation Engineer III needed by AECOM Technical Services in Dallas, Texas: Lead the design and development of roadway schematic and detailed construction plans for a wide range of transportation projects including design-build and traditional bid-build projects with fast-track delivery schedules; lead development of roadway geometrics and roadside design for freeways, highways, toll facilities, interchanges, and city streets using MicroStation, Geopak (Road), AutoCAD Civil, and AutoTURN; perform three-dimensional (3D) modeling and implement 3D geometric layout and details for freeway mainlanes, ramps, frontage roads, cross roads, and multi-level interchange direct connectors; lead traffic modeling of existing and proposed facilities using SYNCHRO, CORSIM, TRANSYT-7F, and VISSIM; evaluate and select geometric design criteria and procedures to execute plan development, navigate complex design and constructability issues, and offer viable engineering solutions; assess suitability of existing facilities, viability of proposed plan layouts, traffic operation goals, and level of service; manage graduate engineers and design technicians and review their work; participate in project procurement and proposal writing; participate in project management and implement quality control process; provide technical guidance and reports and coordinate work with other engineering disciplines.
