Seasonal position in Chiloquin which is 25 miles north of Klamath Falls
<br>
<br>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
<br>' Two years of maintenance and/or construction experience in roadway/highway, bridge, sign, drawbridge or landscape, AND
<br>Experience in each of the following areas:
<br>A) operating heavy and/or light motorized equipment;
<br>B) using hand and power tools;
<br>C) performing minor servicing of equipment,;
<br>D) applying safety procedures.
<br>* Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
<br>* Requires a maximum 30-minute response time for emergency call-outs.  May be required to be available for emergency calls, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, including holidays; or be On-Call.
<br>
<br>Duties:
<br>* Perform minor surface repair including hand, pothole and concrete patching, and small inlay work.  
<br>* Operate heavy trucks, rollers, blades and motor graders to patch large sections of highway, remove slides, build/repair roadway shoulders and bike paths, and perform minor betterment construction.  
<br>*Sweep highway facilities such as shoulders, intersections, perform clean-up of sidewalks, graffiti, paving, bridge walks, and islands.
<br>* Operate mounted sanders, deicer trucks and spreaders to sand roadways.  
<br>* Operate rotary snowplows and truck mounted push plows to clear snow from the roadway.
<br>* Operate motor graders to cut 'Snow Pack' from the roadway.
<br>* Respond to accidents and other emergencies; secure area by providing traffic control and coordinate activities of other agencies and the public to ensure the safety of the public and crews; assist with clean up involving accidents and spills.
