<br>Ten years experience in a related role or equivalent experience working with a railroad; high level of proficiency with Microsoft products to include Word, Powerpoint Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of AAR open top and closed car loading, specifically as it pertains to lumber, plywood, composites, and EWP; some travel required.
<br>
<br>Preferences:
<br>College Degree; Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) experience.

<br>We are a midsized manufacturer of wood products in Oregon looking for an experienced Rail Transportation Manager.
<br>
<br>Duties:
<br>Duties include managing all functions of transportation and logistics that involve rail shipments. This will include management of the company's rate tariffs, leased car pool, all rail car shipments, and all day to day transactional functions.  Negotiates all contract terms; price, quality, delivery and specifications with servicing Railroads.  Ensures timely execution of contracts and delivery, by investigating and resolving logistical issues.  Manages operating fleet of 165 leased railcars.  Negotiates and administer all rail car leases.  Controls costs by evaluating and establishing efficient and reliable shipment routes for our distribution network.  Responsible for equipment ordering for each mill.
