Transportation Officer

JOB SUMMARY:
Transportation Officer Will maintain supervision of staff & inmates. Will ensure safety of the public. Will assure policy, procedures, emergency plans & manpower practices are employed. Manage guide lines of institutional building schedule. Apply sound judgement common sense. Duties Responsibilites: Supervises the daily operations & activities of the jail ensuring compliance with rules, regulations, policies & procedure & Texas Jail Standards are followed.May be involved with plans & supervises the deployment of adequate personnel & equipment assigned for the enforcement, prevention, & investigation of incidents within the jail. Supervises the daily activities & checks reports submitted by correctional officers for a ccuracy & content, approves or rejects. Performs other duties as assigned to accomplish the objectives of the position. Must have a high school diploma or GED. Successfully complete jailer certification course within the time period allotted by the state. Maintain all required certification & licenses. Must have CDL with passenger endorsement.
