Transportation Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities:
Manage Premium Transportation (PTA) Requests & process.
Track & Manage dedicated Truckload shipments.
Manage Specialized Transportation: Flatbed, Permit loads, Shows, refrigerated & HAZMAT shipments.
Manage carrier compliance (ensure Suppliers are using contracted freight providers).
Identify and implement freight dollar savings initiatives and processes.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Requirements:
2 - 4 years of relevant transportation experience.
Experience with Premium Freight Management systems, general PC skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
Freight Forwarder experience preferred.
Understanding of industry freight terms, carriers, pricing, and modes of service.
Good communicator with strong people skills, able to work in a team environment. Excellent customer support skills.
