Job Description
Job Summary:
Provide corporate support for all Company Transportation, Logistics and Transportation Billing
Key Responsibilities:
* Develops Corporate Transportation & Logistics policies and procedures
* Assists with the monitoring of freight pay and audit for invoicing and rebilling of transportation charges, allocates cost via the Freight Payment System and works with Argus Logistics and Accounts Payable to resolve any issues
* Issues transportation billing for fleet rental unit moves and swing engines
* Researches contracts to determine allocation of costs, which includes Schedule A and Oracle OCK page
* Issues Transportation Purchase Orders to carriers
* Ensures all inbound/outbound units transportation charges are billed and keeps track of current and pending units to be billed
* Follows up with Credit & Collections to ensure Credit Holds are released timely
* Monitors Markview queue and resolves any pending holds timely
* Resolves all billing and credit issues
* Assists with the Transportation Management System administration and provides support as needed
* Process loads via TMS, monitors progress and provides feedback to customers on any deviations accordingly
* Researches all modes of transportation to insure the most expedient and cost effective carrier for each specific requirement
* Monitors RFQ process in TMS and ensures award and savings are recorded accordingly and generates monthly reports on freight savings
* Plans all inbound/outbound movements according to confirmed Pending Unit Return and Rental information
* Negotiates transportation quotes
* Assists with the sourcing of super load and/or oversize load carriers
* Meets all transportation needs for shops, sales, etc
* Makes strategic and tactical recommendations to Supply Chain Management and others managers
* Coordinates freight expenditures and operations working with 3-PL provider
* Mentors corporate North America Operations Staff
* Performs other duties as assigned by Manager
Basic Qualifications:
* 10+ years of industry experience with knowledge of domestic and international freight coordination and movement
* BS required
* An ability to travel and possess personal car available for occasional company use

* Strong customer service skills
* Strong transportation experience
* Financial knowledge
* Ability to negotiate with internal and external customers
* Strong verbal skills, computer skills, customer relations, ability to multi-task, computer literacy in Microsoft office suite
* Ability to work on multiple deadlines at one time
* Proficient at Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
* Proficient at Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
Professional Skills/Experience:
* Knowledge of international ocean/air freight including the ability to work with ocean carriers and freight forwarders
* Knowledge of domestic transportation (air truck and barge)
* Knowledge of international ocean/air freight including the ability to work with ocean carriers and freight forwarders
* Strong working knowledge of super loads mobilization and full understanding of US DOT regulations
* Understanding of the different sizes of compressors and an extensive knowledge of the types of specialized equipment needed to insure a successful haul/set transaction
