JOB SUMMARY:
Privately owned trucking company located in Stephenville, TX is recruiting for an experienced TRANSPORTATION SUPERVISOR / DISPATCHER
The Transportation Department includes the distribution of tractors, trailers, and equipment to drivers for pick up of loads.
Essential job funtions:
--- Will supervise drivers & mechanics
--- Will monitor performance & resolve disciplinary issues as needed
--- Will be responsible for daily dispatch of all internal moves & outbound loads
--- Will ensure DOT rules and regulations are followed
--- Will manage driver logs and driver trip sheets
Requirements:
--- Must have at least a high school diploma or GED
--- Must have at least 1 year experience working at a SUPERVISORY LEVEL IN THE TRANSPORTATION FIELD field overseeing general operations & staff
--- Must have some experience dispatching
--- Must have computer skills needed to implement maintenance & load dispatch software
--- Must be available at all times to answer any driver questions
--- Must have knowledge of DOT regulations
--- Must have excellent customer service skills
--- Must be a detailed oriented and highly organized individual
--- Must have good interpersonal communication skills, conflict resolution and employment relation skills
--- Must have a strong ability to multi-task and prioritize
--- Must have the ability to make decisions with little or no guidance
--- Must be available to work 5 days per week INCLUDING WEEKENDS
